Cons of On Campus Placements
- College name and active/inactive status of the T&P cell
- The types and number of companies that come for recruitment will depend a lot on the college name and the T&P cell. Also, limited companies come for on campus placements, and chances are that the company of your choice may not come to recruit in your college.
- Only the top layer of students get recruited
- Students with good CGPA get recruited, while the rest may get placed in not so good companies, or not get placed at all. Off campus placements come to the rescue in such cases.
- Late joining and meagre compensation
- Both these points are not universal and will depend on the company and the reputation of the college. In on campus placements, companies may not give immediate joining dates, thus creating frustration in students.
- Compensation offered may depend on the reputation of the college.
- Lack of variety of options
- If you are looking to find a job outside of your field of study, then on campus placements are not the right fit for you.
